Recently, there have been quite a few events with themes that make me go “Squee!”. Though my style doesn’t always lend itself to it, I always visit the Kawaii Project because sometimes, they have amazing things that just need the right accessories and some tweaking to be fantastically gothic. One of my finds this round are these amazing wings from darkendStare named after the poem “Jabberwocky” which is of course from Alice in Wonderland…the Kawaii Project theme this time around! I’ve always been a fan of Lewis Carroll’s timeless classic down to spending way too much money in a shop in Brighton that sold ONLY Alice in Wonderland-themed items and fangirling over the Tim Burton version that most people weren’t keen on (But come on…Alice AND Tim Burton? I really thought it was amazing…). Loxys and I found the most perfect Alice in Wonderland sim that we simply had to use it as the backdrop for today’s photos. I highly recommend any Alice fans pop by and have a visit. There is a fee to join the group so you can get onto the main sim, but with the amount of work and care put into the sim design, I think the donation is well worth it.
Though I can’t quite say I resemble a Jabberwocky very much, I *can* say that the wings are a fabulous addition to any outfit, regardless of the style, as they do have pastel versions. They’re so unique that I simply adore them and haven’t taken them off since they floated into my inventory. My corset is from this round of Project Limited and the last I checked, numbers were dwindling…so if you love it, you best pop down to the event before all the colours are gone! The detailing is amazing, which is what really sold me on it. Both the corset and skirt are from :::insanya:: and feature sizes for Slink, Maitreya, Belleza, and standard avatars, though as a fair warning, the only Belleza size right now is for the classic Venus since I believe it was released before the update that brought us Freya and Isis. My collar is the ultrarare gacha item from Love, one of my amazing sponsors who also made the collar I wore in my post on 14 July 2015. The craftsmanship is so incredibly lovely, I simply adore wearing it. I’ve always been a sucker for unique items, and everything from Love fits the bill! My Okami scarifications were reviewed here, but can now be found at the Antielle mainstore since the Xiasumi School Festival is long, long over.
I have to say that the updated Belleza body is absolutely FANTASTIC! I’ve not taken it off (well, aside to change versions) since purchasing it, and I just love it. One of the things I am really looking forward to is more fitted mesh for the Freya and Isis variants, but this will definitely come in time. I do wish some of the alpha layers were a bit finer, but hopefully that will come to fruition in future versions. In case you’ve been hiding under a rock (or not reading my posts), my lovely skin from Stargazer Creations is available at Genre this month for 100L. After the event, it goes back to full price, so I highly recommend picking it up as soon as possible.
