“…you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.”

~ Roy Batty, “Blade Runner”

Dystopian sci-fi sometimes creeps me out way more than the horror genre. I think there is something about the plausibility of it that really gets to me because I always end up speculating about the future and all the “what ifs” that our rapidly advancing society is making more and more conceivable. For some reason, though, Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner” always stands out in my mind as the penultimate cyberpunk sci-fi noire. Scott’s vision of the future Los Angeles as a dark, rainy, and gritty place is always a bit unsettling, and Blade Runner City in Second Life has done an amazing job of capturing the look and feel of the movie. It is my go-to place for photographs when I am blogging something that would feel right at home in a dystopian sci-fi setting…so it was the absolute perfect place to use as a backdrop for ImmateriA’s Tronium dress.

ImmateriA’s newest release that is exclusively available at The Alchemy is one of the most unique dresses I have seen in a very, very long time. Tronium features a shimmery clothing layer bodysuit (with Omega appliers included) underneath a totally see-through mesh dress covered in gleaming asymmetrical circuit-like patches with a matching animated cyberpunk halo to pull the ensemble together. The end result is incredibly striking and it looks simply amazing and incredibly avant-garde. If you are seeking something that will set you apart from the masses, head to The Alchemy and grab yourself a copy! All the poses I used in today’s photos are also available at The Alchemy…they’re the Nyree set by Eternal Dream and are simply gorgeous!

I am also wearing two new releases in the body styling category. Stargazer Creations has added more options to their line of celestial-themed skins with the Nophia skin sets that are currently available at The Thrift Shop for half price! They are gorgeously textured in a plethora of rich shades that will work amazingly for a variety of fantasy and sci-fi looks. On my lips is one of SongBird’s newest releases, the Laquer Lips. The lipsticks are available in appliers for Slink Visage and LeLutka mesh heads. Four colours are included in the package…they are absolutely stunning jewel tones that compliment many skin tones, both natural and fantasy.
